Providing Professional Development Opportunities
The Jazz Drama Program offers workshops to train classroom teachers and arts specialists to put on productions of jazz musicals. The JDP has conducted multiple workshops at the Mississippi Arts Commission’s Whole Schools Institute in Oxford and Meridian, Mississippi, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho, and Jazz House Kids Teacher Retreat in Wayne, New Jersey.
